Outdoor dog houses aren't necessary for every dog. If your dog sleeps indoors overnight and has a fenced area to run in during the day, you might want to provide a dog house if there is no shade in your yard. Or maybe you leave your dog out from sunrise to sunset and need a place where they can escape from the weather, when necessary. For owners whose dogs are outside all the time, a dog house is a necessity.
